Creamy Ranch Pork Chops (Crockpot recipe)

Here is another yummy "dump & forget recipe" for your Crockpot. I love these kinds of recipes. They are wonderful & SIMPLE  for us busy people.

But I am going to warn you: If you are watching your waistline...log off now! This recipe is rich, and loaded with calories. If you want to healthy it up a bit, you could use lower fat soup and cream cheese.

As with everything yummy...moderation is the key! So in other words, do not indulge the whole thing!

What you need: *4 pork chops, Hidden Valley Ranch packet, 1 can of cream of mushroom soup, 4 tbsp butter, 5 tbsp cream cheese, paprika for seasoning

* You can use chicken breast in place of pork chops.

First: Season pork chops lightly with paprika.

Second: Melt cream cheese & butter together, until softened for about 45 seconds in microwave and stir.

Third: Add soup & packet of ranch seasoning. Stir together & spoon on top of chicken.
Finally: Place lid on Crockpot, and set to low for 5-6 hours. Easy Peasy!

This is yummy served with mashed potatoes, rice or pasta. The sauce can be used as gravy too.

I have seen other recipes that call for a little bit more cream cheese and butter, and I have found it to be just as good with less. If you would like to add more pork chops, just increase your soup to 2 cans. Trust me; the flavor is just as rich.

  1. Hi Gals! This is my first time checking in to your blog. So far, I LOVE it! **happy dance**

As for this recipe, I wonder if you can make it without the butter and cream cheese. I've been making a baked version for years and years. It goes like this: put the pork chops in a baking pan, spoon mushroom soup over the top, bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours. Voila! I made this only last night, and it's still a family favorite.

    Happy blogging!
    Love,

  2. I have done that in oven as well. I usually add green beans too.

  3. Paprika is in step 1 sprinkled over the chops. Step 3 has the soup added in with the butter and cream cheese.
